WIWAG®

WIWAG® Business Week

WIWAG® Business Weeks is a five-day training concept in business management based on a computer-assisted business simulation game. This was developed by the Ernst Schmidheiny Foundation in cooperation with the Institute of Economic Education of the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and has been successfully implemented in Switzerland and Germany for over 20 years.

WIWAG® enables the participants to understand basic interrelationships in business management in an integrated model of an enterprise, and gain basic insights into important areas and processes of the economy as a whole. It teaches the participants how to manage a company by enhancing their understanding of departments like Finance, Production, Marketing and Human Resources, while showing participants the interrelation of these functions.

Since 2005, 3,730 students from different universities nationwide have undergone the WIWAG® entrepreneurship program. Our goal is reach 10,000 student entrepreneurs in the next ten years. The program is given free to twenty five to thirty (25-30) selected students from the 2nd to 4th year level of respected universities. The course is facilitated by volunteer instructors from local companies (e.g. Industry, Commerce, Services) who have undergone intensive training from two Swiss instructors of the Ernest Schmidheiny Foundation. Future student entrepreneurs have access to this program for free through the generous support of our partners and friends.

Bato Balani Foundation is the license holder of the WIWAG® program in the Philippines. As part of its contribution to entrepreneurship education, BBFI aims to train 10,000 student entrepreneurs from 2011 to 2020 through its WIWAG® program.
