BBFI's commitment to education development began with its How To Be A Highly Effective Teacher project. This program provided BBFI and its resource speakers and partner-organizations personal interaction with private and public school teachers nationwide. Over the years, the program has maintained its focus on training teachers in specific teaching skills in the core subject areas of basic education.

Since 1991, BBFI has conducted over 500 seminars and has trained more than 60,000 teachers in the program nationwide. In 2004, BBFI conducted trained 6681 participants.
