PROMOTING EXCELLENCE IN PHILIPPINE EDUCATION

Working together towards a more sustainable program in education development.

Raising the standards of education in the Philippines is an enormous
undertaking which requires the conscious effort of everyone.
While the government, NGOs, educational institutions and even
corporate foundations have their programs on education, the impact
of these programs remains limited.

The big question now is, "How do we establish a sustainable program
on education development?"

Bato Balani Foundation Inc together with its partners and sponsors,
First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities and Diwa Learning
Systems Inc endeavors to answer this question through its program
for 2005, "Promoting Excellence in Philippine Education" (Project PEPE).
The program utilizes partnerships and linkages in order to have a truly
sustainable program in education development.

Objective:

To help in the advancement of Philippine education through the collaborative efforts of schools, the government and the business sector in the academic ecosystem

Bridging the Divide

Project PEPE aims to encourage mutual help and support among public and private schools in the academic ecosystem towards a sustainable program that is most beneficial to everyone. Through partnerships and linkages, schools will be able to identify their strengths and weaknesses and seek to solve common concerns through interaction with one another.

Project PEPE: Envisioned to be a Nationwide Campaign

Project PEPE is envisioned to be a nationwide campaign that has been initially launched in the Emerging North Batangas Metropolitan Area which serves as a test bed for the program.

The Emerging North Batangas Metropolitan Area composed of 2 cities and 6 municipalities as follows:

1. Tanauan City
2. Lipa City
3. Malvar
4. Sto. Tomas
5. Mataas na Kahoy
6. Balete

All the participating school needs to do is to give its full support to the programs.
